Description
Eco Grout FS is a non-shrink self leveling, pre-mixed cementitious grouting mortar with extended working time to suit local ambient temperature.
Uses
Eco Grout FS is suitable for repairs to concrete structures and the following
grouting works: machine foundations, rail beds, columns in pre-cast,
construction anchor bolts, bridge bearings cavities, gaps, recesses.
Application
Surface Preparation
Concrete surfaces should be clean, sound and free from oil, greases, laitance and loose particles. Metal surfaces (iron and steel) should be free from scale, rust, oil and grease
Absorbent substance must be saturated thoroughly, but no standing water.
Mixing
Powder should be added to the pre-gauged water to suit the desired consistency. Mix mechanically with a low speed drill (max. 500 rpm) with a disc agitator attached, until a smooth, even consistency is achieved.
Application Proper
Pour mortar after mixing. Ensure that air entrained into the grout is allowed to escape.
When carrying out base plate grouting, ensure sufficient head of pressure is maintained to keep mortar flow uninterrupted. Make sure that necessary formwork is firmly in place and watertight.
Cleaning
Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened mortar can only be
mechanically removed.
Important Recommendations
Use Eco Grout FS for grouting.
Min. Gap: 10 mm
Min. Application temp.: 10ºC. At temperatures lower than 20ºC, setting time
and strength gained will be slower. Normal curing practice should be observed,
where mortar is exposed i.e. at least 3 days.
Performance
1. Grouting of Machine Beds
Pre-wet thoroughly, no standing water in bolt holes. If possible, grout anchor bolt first, then the mortar bed in
a second operation. Ensure continues flow of mortar. Distance between anchor bolt and substrate to be at least
3x max. Diameter of mortar aggregates (approx. 10 mm.)
2. Grouting Base Plates
Pre-wetting for approx. 24 hrs. But with no standing water. Maintain constant hydrostatic pressure to ensure
continues flow. Use cable or chain to make sure that all cavities are filled. Make sure that entrapped air can escape.
