Preparation of Substrate

The substrate must be clean and free from dust, oil, paint, or grease. The substrate has to be pre-wetted. Water accumulation on the surface must be avoided.

Mixing

Ecofill Fine must be mixed with clean water at the site by means of a powder drill whisk or manual mix using box and spatula. Prepare the required water in a suitable container and then add the Ecofill Fine into the suitable container while stirring continuously until a smooth, creamy consistency is obtained. The mixture can be applied immediately after mixing. No stand off time is required. (For water consumption please refer to the technical data).

Application

Ecofill Fine products is applied either by hand with a spatula or by steel trowel. The coat is leveled off to a smooth surface with a spatula or a steel trowel. A standing time is required for the final finishing touch to let it set for a while. Using the rule of thumb if the applied Ecofill Fine when touch, thumb print is not deep and no traces of the products that sticks to your thumb. Wet the clean steel trowel with clean water and evenly trowel the surface for final touch. A thin lamination will appear and a smooth surface will be attained. Do not directly pour water on the surface. Avoid over trowel the surface for it will fold the thin layer lamination and leaving an uneven dark marks on the surface.
